Nimesulide forms



Nimesulide drug was launched in Italy for the first time as Aulin and Mesulid in 1985 and is presently available in more than 50 countries worldwide which is used for for treating post-traumatic inflammation, acute musculoskeletal disorders.

Its multifactorial mode of action gives it a unique and broad action on inflammatory processes.

Nimesulide is available in the market in various forms including tablets (100 mg), granules for oral suspension (100 mg), suppositories (200 mg) and gel (3%).

Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which means it provides analgesic (pain-killing) and antipyretic(fever-reducing) effects. Nimesulide is mostly used for treatment of short-term pain(Acute), joint pain (osteoarthritis), period pains (Primary dysmennorhea), Chronic pains and many.

The best prescribed Nimesulide tablet is used for the treatment of acute pain, Primary dysmennorhea and also to treat degenerative joint disease.

A variety of Nimesulide forms are available in the market like in the form of tablets and syrup for oral administration and gels for topical application.

Dose: Nimesulide is available with the dosage of 100 mg for tablets, 100 mg for granules for oral suspension, 200mg for suppositories and 3% of gel.
